Yesterday was C R A Z Y. I’d been playing with my sister since Friday, so my rhythm and schedule was off and laundry running out and…yeah. But it was a good day.
At church, Colin gave a 25-minute talk in Sacrament Meeting on temples, springboarded from this talk by Elder Richard G. Scott. [...]

Degen and Maggie are dressed and fed, Heidi is dressed and fed and napping, Colin is at an Elder’s Quorum service project (dressed, hopefully fed, and surely not napping). The kids are baking me a “cake” in their pretend kitchen while I’m being a nerd in my pjs and watching an old John Bytheway Education [...]

Last night Colin and I got to go to the Oakland Temple and work for a couple of hours. Kim willingly watched all three kids for us with very little notice. Yay Kim! Of course, the kids LOVE having their aunt babysit, and we’re always grateful for her generosity. It’s a strangely big deal for [...]

The other day was our 7th wedding anniversary! I wasn’t in the mood to write at the time, but it was a good day. Seven years is a good, solid number, isn’t it? We are still so happy, and I am grateful to be married to my good husband.
An example of his wonderfulness (it’s a [...]

Our host disappered with all our sites a couple of months ago, but Colin’s got us back up again. Yay Colin! I’m missing a ton of posts from July through October, but at least we have everything from before July this time around. Yay backups!
So, what’s been going on here? Hmmmm…
Thanksgiving in Arizona with my [...]

I don’t actually know if “playgroup” is supposed to be one word or two. So, I’ll just switch off as the mood strikes me. It’ll keep things exciting. Anyone know the official word on the correct way to write it?
Yesterday afternoonwe went to a play group organized by some ladies in my new ward. I’ve [...]

Degen and his Grandpa have made a regular thing of having golf lessons outside in the yard. Naturally, Maggie wants to do whatever Degen does and begged me one day to go outside with them and play golf (pronounced more like “gofe”). I thought it might be fun for her, so I took [...]

Grandpa, an expert golfer, gave Degen his first golf lesson this morning outside at his miniature driving range. Every time one of the balls would make it to the net (even after many swings on its way there), Degen would yell “I WIN!”
We are really enjoying spending more time with Grandpa!

We made it to California! Yay!
We actually got here a couple of weeks ago, but I haven’t had constant access to a computer like I’m used to until today. The truck arrived yesterday, and was unloaded by Colin and some generous men from our new Elder’s Quorum and my sister-in-law’s very helpful boyfriend. Thanks sooooo [...]
