Family Photo FHE

Colin did our FHE lesson tonight–he put up a slide show of pictures of our family on the TV for us to watch. Maggie excitedly screamed out the names of everyone she recognized in the pictures, including herself. There were some pictures of the Savior mixed in, and every time Maggie sees a picture of Jesus (including in the middle of church) she screams “Jesus Christ!” She’s not saying his name in vain because she’s really just identifying who it is and excited to see him, but sometimes I wonder if people nearby think she’s swearing. Funny, endearing, and slightly embarrassing all at the same time.
So, we talked about families and how we’re related to people in our families. Both kids were fascinated the entire time and that makes me think it was a great success.
I hope that the adopted family gets in those photos, too!

Marcie, you’re so encouraging! Yes, my kids love looking at pictures of your family. Maggie thinks the pictures of your baby are all her, so they must be related.
