Cottage Cheese and Paper Plates

I’ve decided again that I like cottage cheese. It’s a little boring by itself, though, so I googled things to eat with cottage cheese and found some good ideas, like cinnamon or pears (or both!). Did I try any of those ideas, though? No, of course not. I chose to try one of my own ideas, which is always hit-and-miss. I sprinkled my cottage cheese with curry powder. It should have been really good, but I was surprised that I didn’t really like it. Next time I’m going with pears and/or cinnamon. Or maybe some sun-dried tomatoes. I’ve actually never purchased sun-dried tomatoes and would like to try it.
On a different note, the kids and I have been on a paper-plate kick for a few days. We bought some paper plates while we were in Dallas and on our ride home I wanted to write down some notes, so I pulled out a couple of paper plates from the bag in the back seat and started writing. The kids saw me do it and wanted to color, so I gave them pens and paper plates and they went to town. And the rest is history–I like to write on paper plates and the kids like to color on them. I think the charm of it comes from some combination of the novelty of the circular shape and the thickness of the paper (no need to have a table for support). I prefer paper plates over a notepad. If I were in college right now, I’d probably use paper plates to take my notes on instead of a notebook. I’d need a circular paper-plate binder if they didn’t nest so well together. You get the idea. Paper plates are great.
