Q1 2008 FHE Plan
Mar 8th, 2008 by Bethany
I thought I’d lost my FHE plan for the quarter when our web page was lost the second time in January. But, while I was looking for another document, I came across it in a folder on my computer. Yay! Obviously, some of our Family Home Evening lessons haven’t followed the plan since it was lost for over a month, but it’s good to have it around anyway. Here’s the plan:
1/7 I am a Child of God
1/14 Study the Scriptures
1/21 Martin Luther King Day, Sharing the Gospel
1/28 A House of Order, Work
2/4 Groundhog Day (2/2), Mardi Gras (2/5), Voting Day (2/5), Patriotism and Obeying the Law
2/11 Valentine’s Day (2/14), Lincoln’s birthday (2/12), Love
2/18 Degen’s birthday (2/17), President’s Day, Talents
2/25 Washington’s birthday (2/22), Leap Day (2/29), The Sacrament
3/3 My birthday (3/1), Appreciating Music
3/10 Taking Care of our Bodies
3/17 St. Patrick’s Day, Grandma Bushman’s birthday, Purim (3/19), Faith
3/24 Easter (3/23), Jesus Christ and Resurrection
3/31 April Fool’s Day (4/1), Plan of Salvation
It’s mostly just a list of topics that would probably be good matches for the season, week, or day for FHE. I’ve found that if I have a topic or two to choose from for my FHE lesson it’s a lot easier for me to get going and prepare the lesson beforehand. It’s about time to start working on Q2 already!
