Maggie’s Ponytail

I put Maggie’s hair into a ponytail this morning when I was getting her ready for church. I did it less for the cuteness than to cover up that she didn’t get her hair washed last night and had pizza sauce in her hair. Despite my motive it was very cute once I got a wet comb through her hair and twisted it into a ponytail–she looked so grown up! Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. She rubbed it loose against the back of her car seat on the way over to the church. I redid it a couple of times, but then realized that it kept coming out because Maggie has a habit of comforting herself my sucking the fingers of one hand and holding on to her hair (or mine, if it’s available) with her other hand. She was pulling on her ponytail, trying to hold on to it while she sucked on her fingers! So, I took it out and she spent the rest of church with scraggly hair. It was fun while it lasted!
