Cleanup Crew
Feb 9th, 2008 by Bethany
One of the things I love about Colin is that he does things he hates to do for the sake of doing what he thinks is right. For example, today our Elder’s Quorum is out of town helping with the tornado cleanup in the Clinton, AR, area. Colin really loathes doing manual labor like this. He hates it. But, he woke himself up at five this morning, got me and the kids up to drive him to the church to meet his carpool, and cheerfully joined the cleaning crew. No complaints at all. Someone had asked him to help out with the tornado cleanup and he quickly agreed to do it and then happily did it. Isn’t that awesome?!
Plus, he left the car with me even though he doesn’t like to be a passenger. So, maybe today I’ll take the kids to the library or something since we haven’t been all week. And I should head over to the grocery store (again! it seems like I’m always going there) and get some milk and produce for the weekend. We’re out of apples and bananas, and the kids were asking for some last night.
