To those of you in the 26 Super Tuesday states who can vote today–I say, GO VOTE! Read up on the candidates (one summary chart of their positions on “dealbreaker” issues is here), pick the one you want to vote for, find out where to vote (you can Google it), and then go put your ballot in. Even if you don’t have a strong opinion about the candidates or if you are feeling discouraged about whether your vote really makes a difference, do it to honor our predecessors who sacrificed to give you the privilege of voting. Many people have died to make it possible for us to have a vote that is counted. I’m am grateful, and I always feel reverent as I submit my ballot and think of how I’m one of the few women in history who has a say (small though it may be) in her government.
