At Laman Library, our favorite in the area, they are having a contest to name the large green papier mache dinosaur in the children's section. A couple of weeks ago I asked Degen what the dinosaur's name is and he immediately answered "Baby Saur." Since he was so sure of himself, I entered the name in the contest for him.
Today we found out that "Baby Saur" was chosen by the librarians as one of the top three of all the names submitted, along with "Readasaurus Rex" and "Chompers." Now they're having the library patrons 12 years old and younger vote on the final name from among the top three. So, while we were there for story time today (we made paper bag reindeer hand puppets) Maggie and Degen voted for his name.
Good name Degen!
