LDS Scripture Tools

Colin reminded me of this site we love called www.ldsscripturetools.com. It's very simple, but very helpful. There are two features: the reading plan tool and the memorization tool. The reading plan tool lets you choose one of the four standard works, the chapter you plan to start at, the date you plan to begin, and the date you plan to end. Then it calculates how many chapters and how many pages per day you have to read to finish on time. It also gives you a calendar showing how far you need to be each day to reach your goal. The memorization tool allows you to input text (like a scripture) and then it gives you the text in stages for memorization: the full test, then the text without vowels, then the text with only the first letter of each word.
All of these could be helpful if you're trying to figure out how much you need to read daily if you have a goal to finish reading the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Or if you're teaching a lesson in church and trying to help your students memorize a scripture. Or if you're giving a talk and want to memorize it. Or if you're a missionary or seminary student with tons of scriptures to memorize. There are lots of applications.
