I made some low-tech tools today for Primary in the shape of popsicle sticks with names on them. The idea is to reduce repeatedly choosing the same children as "helpers" in Primary and ignoring the quiet ones by writing the name of each child in Primary on a seperate popsicle stick, then coloring one end with a marker. I'll put the sticks colored-end up in a cup, then choose children from the cup. Each time I pick one, I'll turn it over and replace it in the cup colored-side down so I know I've used it. Once I've picked all the colored sides, I start over choosing uncolored sticks, then start the process again.
I found a variation of the idea on www.theideadoor.com once upon a time. Pretty cool, huh?
