A great weekend

This was a big weekend. Phoebe and Jonathan (my sister and brother-in-law) came to visit for the weekend and watched General Conference with us. I love spending time with them! Phoebe and I went to the farmer's market together Saturday morning, then we all watched Conference together at the stake center. After the first two sessions, Jon got out their Wii and I had my first Wii experience playing tennis. Then we got a babysitter during the Priesthood session and Phoebe and I browsed around a bookstore until the men met up with us and then they took Colin and me out to dinner.
Sunday morning we had a mini-late-birthday party for Maggie with the presents Phoebe and Jon brought for her and we had pancakes for breakfast. We watched Conference again at the stake center and then attended our ward potluck between sessions until Phoebe and Jon had to head for home. I wish we lived closer together because it's so fun to hang out with them.
I neglected to mention that we did all this with my broken glasses. I broke them myself, no kids involved, by picking them up. I tried wearing my contacts again, but by Saturday afternoon my eyes were getting red and itchy and by the evening they were really red and burning. So, I taped the pieces back together and wore my embarrassingly messy glasses the rest of the weekend. This morning I took them to a jeweler to have them repaired, and they said they'll make an attempt to have them finished sometime this evening. I don't like to be semi-blind.
