If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!I like to watch Mister Roger's Neighborhood. My opinion of Mr. Rogers and his show borders on sacred to me and it offends me to see or hear people make fun of him or insinuate anything inappropriate about it. I watched the show on TV [...]

Maggie got her sixth tooth this weekend. Now she has three top ones and three bottom ones. She was a little grumpy and had a little fever the day before, but nothing too bad.
She is in the kitchen right now, banging with a spoon on my metal bread pans. She really likes getting stuff out [...]

Today I fished reading All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot again. It's the second book in the American publication of Herriot's series called All Creatures Great and Small. James Herriot is one of the few authors I feel I can recommend without any real reservation to my friends and family. His books are semi-autobiographical [...]

I put some of Degen's clothes on Maggie last night and they fit! Degen's been wearing 18-month sized pajamas to bed since he was about Maggie's age and it occurred to me that they might fit Maggie since Degen's too big for them (but wearing them anyway). This morning the kids and I went to Story Time at Laman Library. Yes, the big library in North Little Rock is called Laman. It sounds a little bit like a weird twist on being an LDS name, but I'm 99% sure it's unrelated. I'd definitely recommend going to Story Time at this library if you [...]

Yesterday I was sustained and set apart as our ward Primary President. I'm actually pretty excited about working with the kids in the ward. Primary can be a really fun, energetic, and creative place to be as you worship and learn about the Lord. I am grateful to have a calling and humbled to be [...]

Colin had yet another good idea today. We were listening to a song from A Chorus Line in the car and he mentioned that most successful plays/musicals are about people in plays/musicals. He theorized that this is because most theater-goers are performers. Then he said that someone should do a show about a family member [...]
