Happy 9th Birthday, Google!
Sep 27th, 2007 by Bethany
I like Google. I use gmail, I nearly exclusively use Google as my search engine, and I talk about "googling" things. I use Google to tally up statistics on my web pages. Google is free and has great logos.
Yesterday was Yom Kippur, of the Jewish Day of Atonement. Give your repentant Jewish friends a hug today.
Today is also "Crush a Can Day." Oh, and you only have a couple more days to celebrate National Piano Month, National Honey Month (I didn't even know about and I've been eating pb & honey sandwiches all month), National Sewing Month, National Courtesy Month, and Better Breakfast Month.
And if you think that Halloween is the only thing to celebrate in October, boy are you wrong. You've got Homemade Cookies Day on the 1st, the first week is National Fire Safety Week, and it's National Popcorn Popping Week. The 2nd is Name Your Car Day (maybe we should start thinking of what to name our car…). The 8th is Columbus Day and Canadian Thanksgiving Day. Farmer's Day is on the 12th and National Grouch Day is on the 15th. Sweetest Day is on the 20th, a day designated by Clevelanders to make someone else happy. Mother-in-Law day is the 21st, National Denim Day the 25th, and the Statue of Liberty's birthday is the 28th. And those are just my favorites from the lists I found!
