LDS Reminder Calls

I discovered this fascinating site called LDSReminderCalls.com and I don't know what to think. It's a service where you (or your ward) pays $7-$30 per month, depending on the number of calls you have it make, to have their computer make reminder calls for you. For example, it calls everyone who has a cannery assignment tomorrow, or everyone in the Relief Society to remind them about Enrichment night, or the Young Women Presidency to tell them to show up tomorrow for a presidency meeting at 7am on Saturday, or the Elder's Quorum to ask them to show up to help someone move. It seems that you upload a phone list (or lists), record a message, then tell it to call the list and play the message. You can even have multiple login accounts (so the Primary Pres and the Bishop both have access) and you can generate reports on what the system did.
I love the idea of not making so many phone calls, but I just don't know if the Church would be up for it. Maybe that's because I think the Church isn't into doing things that are impersonal and that we need to talk to each other more. But like I said, I LOVE the idea of spending less time on the phone reminding people about things. Hmmm…
Hi,
Thanks for your review of our product.
I am one of the founders of LDSReminderCalls.com . We have numerous Wards using the system as it saves members hours and hours of calling time - gives them more time to be with their families. Here is a recent testimonial from a Bishop using the system.
