Another site I discovered in my quest to learn to wash my dishes is www.holidaygrandplan.com. It’s a plan written by Katie Leckey for cleaning and decluttering your house from top to bottom, one section at a time over 18 weeks. I think it was orignally meant to just clean your house (spring and fall cleaning, etc.), but they eventually adapted it specifically for preparing for the holiday season. It starts in August and ends with the year. I’ve used the plan haphazzardly for a couple of years and it’s pretty useful for giving you a fairly comprehensive list of what needs to be done in each room of your house if it’s hard for you to keep track.
