Breakfast Foods

I love breakfast foods. Muffins, french toast, pancakes, german pancakes, and popovers are all things I like to eat. Yogurt, orange juice, biscuits and gravy, pigs in a blanket, oatmeal, cold cereal, too. Pretty much any kind of egg is yummy–scrambled, fried, poached, sunny-side up, in a basket. I just don’t like it when the whites are runny. And for some reason eggs benedict aren’t my favorite.
When I was little I really didn’t like oatmeal, but now I think it’s a comfort food. I especially like it with apples and raisins in it like my dad used to make it. And with brown sugar or honey in it.
When I was little I also had a big thing for sugar cereal like Lucky Charms or Frosted Flakes. still like an occassional Cap’n Crunch, but not often. It’s more like a once-a-year-at-Christmas thing. Now I like granola and raisin bran and Wheat Chex and Frosted Mini-Wheats regularly. Actually, I can’t have any of those except raisin bran now because they have sugar in the first three ingredients. So now it’s Uncle Sam’s Cereal and raisin bran and Basic Four (all of which taste good too).
