My Sister Abigail

I’m working my way down the sister list. Abby is my next sister after Phoebe. She’s easy to brag about because she has a lot of recognized credentials, including graduating from MIT as a nuclear engineer and having a full-tuition scholarship to Harvard for her Public Health master’s degree. She’s definitely smart. […]

Jane Eyre

I’m a member of a book club, and we’re meeting at my house this week on my birthday! This month we read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (Currer Bell). From the buzz I’ve heard so far, everyone enjoyed it. I’d always meant to read it, since it’s a classic. I’d tried […]

The Hire Colin Contest

Colin and I decided that perhaps the best way to get networking working for us would be to contact all our friends and family and have a contest to see who can get Colin his dream job first. Colin’s job at Pinnacle is over. To make a long story short, Colin is a leader and the school needed a manager more than a leader in the short run, and since they couldn’t afford to pay for both Colin and his boss sat down and decided they needed a manager personality for the […]

Degen’s 2nd Birthday

Degen’s birthday was on Saturday, and it was really quite miserable. He had a 102.something fever and a runny nose and cough and lethargy and grumpiness all rolled into his newly-two-year-old body.
I baked him a cake…half-baked, that is. It was my first try at making a

Craigslist searches

Colin and I figured out a great way of searching on craigslist.org.
You go to Google and search like this:
site:craigslist.org jobs “your favorite Job Title or description”
Then it searches all of the job listings on Craigslist everywhere for your favorite job title that you punched into the quotes. A lot faster than using the Craigslist […]
