Today is a good day…

My sister-in-law, Kim, emailed me today and asked for a list of questions my maid of honor asked Colin about himself, then they asked me about him at my bridal shower. I just found them and re-read his answers. All I can say is that I married a great guy, because he answered every question in a neat way. Here's the list:
- Where were you born? Where were you raised?
- What was the name of your high school?
- Did you have any pets growing up? If so, what were they and what were their names?
- What is your favorite color?
- What is your favorite music group?
- Where did you and your fiancée go on your first date? When did you two go on your first date?
- How long before you proposed did you have the ring?
- What was the first GOOD thing about your fiancée that you noticed when you first met? (as in: her eyes, her amazing intelligence, her butt, whatever)
- Did you have a nickname growing up? If so, what was it?
- What is/was your major at college? When will/did you graduate?
- What part of your body do you normally sleep on: your back, your stomach, or your side?
- How many kids do *you* want to have? (NOT how many your bride says you should want to have)
- Where do you want to eventually end up living and raise a family? (like what state, or what region, or country)
- If you could travel anywhere in the world (assuming you're already married and you can take your wife with you) where would you want to go first?
- If you had to pick one characteristic about your fiancée that you love the most, what would it be?
This morning I listened to this year's State of the Union for the first time. President Bush's speech writers are pretty good. I was inspired, though skeptical during some sections. It was interesting that he talked about solar and wind power. And I liked that he was being friends with everybody. It hadn't occurred to me that Nancy Pelosi is the first female Speaker of the House. Not exactly who I'd choose to represent me as a woman, but interesting nonetheless.
I went to a playgroup today and Degen had tons of fun playing with the other kids. Degen is in a non-sharing stage where he gets a toy, then refuses to let anyone else look at it or touch it. Luckily, the other moms understood and didn't mind. I'm starting to grow up and not be so embarrassed when he does stuff like that.
