My first blog
Jan 29th, 2007 by Bethany
Hello, World! This is my first post in my first blog. A red-letter day, I know. Today I looked at tons of themes for my blog and even downloaded one, but haven't found one I like better than the default yet.
To introduce myself, my name is Bethany and I'm a Mormon, a mother, and a housewife. I have two kids, a boy and a girl. I suspect that plenty of my blog will be about them, along with my wonderful husband, Colin. Colin works at a school called Pinnacle Learning Center as the Principal where they teach the Kimber Academy curriculum and he does all sorts of consulting and his own businesses on the side.
I'm the oldest of seven kids (I have five neat-o sisters and a newly twelve-year-old brother at the end) and I have amazing parents who are great examples of how to be. I'm also apparently the exception and have wonderful in-laws. I lived in Israel, Cyprus, Arizona, and Utah when I was growing up. My high school years were spent in Glendale, AZ. I then went to Brigham Young University and got my degree in International Law & Diplomacy, with a minor in Near Eastern Studies. I'm a card-carrying Republican, although I don't always agree with the party line, and I like to think of myself as a moderate-conservative.
I've worked at a market research place as an assistant, for American Express as an assistant, for the Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies (FARMS) as an Archiving Supervisor and Specialist, and at Senforce Technologies as an Administration Manager. My husband and I used to run one of the big bridal magazines in Utah and we've been selling wedding invitations and baby announcements and such out of our home for years.
I'm pretty generally healthy, happy, optimistic, and an INFJ. I like to write, read, play with my kids, hang out with family and friends, try new things, and a bunch of other stuff I'll tell you about later.
